Zoho Desk: select the regional account first

Zoho Desk's hosting description establishes EU hosting and an EU migration route. The EU Desk API is desk.zoho.eu. This is useful for a team that wants its helpdesk created in the EU region from the start. Create the Desk account in the EU region; the service and API use that regional account.

Freshdesk: choose EEA before importing the queue

The location guide puts region choice at signup and directs later moves through support. Freshdesk's AI-suggester processing article states that EU storage and processing stay in-region for the documented product functionality. Check a separate connector before sending ticket content to another service.

Zendesk: activate the entitlement and read the product rows

The location add-on is included from Suite Professional but is not automatic. Its regional policy lists ticketing, messaging, voice, analytics and AI separately. That makes it relevant to a buyer willing to map a suite configuration. The ticketing promise cannot simply be copied onto every enabled channel.

Intercom: budget for a new workspace

Regional hosting is offered on contracted Advanced/Expert workspaces. Conversation history cannot be transferred when changing regions, so an existing customer must plan an export and a new-workspace cutover. The regional program covers named customer data while account, billing and operational exceptions remain.

Worked example: a 12-agent EU support launch

Before importing customers, write down the intended region and every data flow: email tickets, attachments, chat history, knowledge content, analytics, AI and CRM synchronization. Create the regional account first. Assign an owner to archive access if a migration leaves conversation history behind. Add required plan, migration work and connector charges to the 12-agent subscription comparison.

Use the cells below to compare exact coverage. A location commitment describes where specified data is hosted; a GDPR label alone does not identify storage, backup or integration destinations.

Related comparisons: support-team SSO, B2B SaaS support and all customer support software.

HelpSpot: named Frankfurt hosting and EU backups

HelpSpot's E.U. Cloud page identifies AWS Frankfurt (eu-central-1), dedicated servers, and EU-contained data, databases, files and backups. It lists E.U. Cloud at the same price as U.S. Cloud and self-hosted deployments. HelpSpot says it assists with migrations from EU Cloud to self-hosted or U.S. Cloud at no extra charge; the checked page does not detail migration into EU Cloud.

Deskpro: select EU Cloud and read the exception list

Deskpro's regional hosting policy offers EU as a standard Cloud region on Team and Professional; Enterprise can choose among locations across six continents. It lists ticketing, CRM, help center, tasks, reports, admin, live chat and Messenger as core product data in the selected region. Voice is currently US-hosted. Billing, support data and optional third-party services are exceptions to the selected region.

Crisp: EU message and plugin storage

Crisp's GDPR status page says all Crisp data is held on EU servers, with messaging data in the Netherlands and plugin data in Germany. Relay servers in the United States, United Kingdom and Singapore store connection logs only, including IP address, date, user-agent and source website.

Zammad: Germany-only hosted data centers

Zammad's data and protection page states that all hosted plans use data centers exclusively in Germany. The page says the attached AVV describes data-protection measures and offers an individual AVV on request. Professional and Plus plans are ISO 27001 certified. Starter v2 lists a five-agent cap, Professional v2 a 35-agent cap, and Plus v2 allows unlimited agents.
