Start with eDesk when marketplaces and webstores share one support team, Gorgias when Shopify order work dominates, Zendesk when multiple Shopify storefronts and marketplace bridges must share a service workspace, and Re:amaze Pro when separate store brands and seat-based human support are the priority. The right platform should connect each request to the correct sales channel and order, then give the agent the actions that channel actually supports.
The multi-store customer support shortlist
| Product | Strongest fit | Operational advantage | Deciding boundary |
|---|
| eDesk | Marketplace and webstore sellers | Direct marketplace connections, order context and a manual matching fallback | Connection allowances and Enterprise multi-brand views are separate gates |
| Gorgias | Several Shopify-centered stores | Shared store context plus Shopify order actions | WooCommerce is read-only; ticket and AI meters remain |
| Zendesk | Several Shopify stores plus marketplace channels | One Zendesk instance connects multiple Shopify storefronts; a Marketplace app adds Amazon, eBay and other marketplace messages, order fields and selected actions | Marketplace coverage requires a separate ChannelReply account |
| Re:amaze | Several branded store operations | Brand-connected Shopify integration and unlimited human conversations on user-based plans | Pro for multi-brand; ChannelReply is a separately configured marketplace bridge |
eDesk: begin here for Amazon, eBay and webstore support
eDesk brings marketplace and store messages together with order identifiers, fulfillment information and customer history. Its Orders tab also gives the team a cross-channel order view. The manual attachment workflow is useful when automatic association fails: choose the marketplace and enter its order ID. This is a concrete operational distinction from merely adding several branded mailboxes.
For Shopify, authorized agents can refund, cancel and create replacement duplicates. Those capabilities have Shopify-specific restrictions. Evaluate the other marketplace's actions separately. A replacement duplicate keeps the original delivery address, so an address change remains a different request.
Gorgias: store-aware support with platform-specific actions
Use store records and assigned channels to organize the helpdesk, then use the Shopify customer/order context during the conversation. Its multi-store tools include views, macros and brand-specific sender identities. Compare the workflow on every store platform: native Shopify order changes do not make its WooCommerce connection writable.
Zendesk: several Shopify storefronts, with marketplaces through an added app
The Zendesk Shopify integration connects multiple storefronts to one instance, displays a sidebar app for each storefront and supports Shopify order lookup plus refunds and cancellations when enabled in the Support sidebar. Zendesk notes that the default-brand widget is added per Shopify store; inserting a widget for another brand requires adding that brand's code to the store theme.
For marketplace messages, Zendesk Marketplace lists ChannelReply for Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify, Walmart, Back Market, Newegg and WooCommerce. It brings buyer/order fields beside tickets and lists marketplace-specific cancellation/refund actions. This is a separate app/account with a 14-day trial.
Re:amaze Pro: store brands with a separate marketplace bridge
Pro and above provide multiple brand operations. During Shopify installation, connect the store to its intended brand. Native Shopify supports refunds, cancellations and draft orders. For marketplace messages and associated order data, ChannelReply adds a configured module; include that service in the implementation and cost review.
Test the wrong-order case before buying
Use the same customer email on two stores and create two orders with similar identifiers. Have the customer contact a marketplace and a store mailbox about different orders. The agent should identify the sales channel, inspect the correct purchase and choose an action for that platform. Repeat with an old order that does not attach automatically. This exposes mistakes that a standard demonstration with one store and one recent order will miss.
Separate connections, users and workload
Consider four staff supporting two webstores and three marketplace accounts. eDesk Growth includes five connections, while Enterprise is the explicit gate for dedicated multi-brand/multi-store views. Re:amaze Pro prices the human team by seats; include the marketplace bridge separately. Gorgias pools ticket workload and can add AI charges. Ask each vendor to quote that same configuration and a promotion month before deciding.
Compare eDesk costs, Re:amaze plans and Gorgias workload pricing. For one platform, use the Shopify or WooCommerce comparison; for separate portals and brand presentation, see multi-brand support.
